So your files will never leave our hands; they’ll never even leave the UK.
We are ICO registered and adhere to GDPR standards. Only our engineers work on your drive while it is in our possession, it is kept confidential, and once returned, your data will be securely wiped from our system.

Therefore, when carrying out a recovery which involves processing personal information, we comply with all relevant laws and regulations. Each recovery is completed by one of our engineers. We do not ship your drive off to anyone else nor abroad, a practice which is often done by other companies within this industry and can include them sending your drive to a different lab. When you send your drive to us, it remains in our care until we send it back to you.
Every data recovery is handled by us with a high level of confidentiality. If required, we are happy to work under a non-disclosure agreement at no additional cost. Your files, and the fact you needed us at all, stay between us. All findings and recovered data are shared only with you or whoever you authorise us to share them with.
For legal, HR, insurance and forensic cases we can provide documentation of the chain of custody so that the treatment of your device can stand up to scrutiny. Where appropriate, our forensic recoveries can also be completed to court-admissible standards.
During the time of your data recovery process, all of your data will be stored safely, and access will only be available to the engineers performing this process. When your data recovery is completed, and has been delivered back to you either on brand new, encrypted media or through a safe, downloadable format, all recovered data will then be securely deleted from our systems. We do not retain copies.

Completely. Each file recovery we perform is done privately by one of our in-house engineers; your files remain private. If needed, we would also be pleased to work under a Non-Disclosure Agreement without charging you for doing so. As well, any data we recover for you is erased from our systems once it has been returned to you.
No. Every file recovery performed by us is done in-house by our staff engineers; therefore none of your data will ever leave the United Kingdom. We do not send hard drives to a third-party or outside the UK, unlike some companies who may subcontract their file recovery services to another company based elsewhere.
Yes. This service is free of charge. Simply contact us, and we will include an NDA in our contract prior to commencing any work. An NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) is usually used in ransomware attacks, forensic investigations, legal matters, and human resource related matters.
The information will be provided back to you through fresh encrypted media or downloaded securely. Once you receive your original device and your data has been restored, our team will securely wipe your data from our servers. No backups exist.

To the extent necessary by our process. Verifying a recovery works involves opening up samples of files. Rebuilding a file system requires viewing its folder/file structure, but we do not access the content within those files beyond that. An individual engineer will handle your project. We’re registered with the ICO (ZC173784) for GDPR compliance, and a Non-Disclosure Agreement can be executed prior to receiving any materials.
There are “good” companies that have implemented safeguards into their processes, versus making promises. Our safeguards include imaging the media upon receipt read-only and all operations occur against a copy of the original media, so your original cannot leave worse than it came. Therefore, when looking for anyone to assist you, seek a company that maintains a physical location you could visit, provides a written quote prior to commencing any work, adheres to simple terms (in most cases you only pay if they recover your data), and answers directly ‘who actually performs the work?’
